[NEW] 2015 Faux Leather Sofa Bed with Storage Designs

[NEW] 2015 Faux Leather Sofa Bed with Storage Designs - I built this bed to maximize the space we have in our apartment We only have two rooms so we have to make The most of the rooms that we do have We wanted to be able to host guests And have a dining room So we needed to get rid of the bed I built this Murphy bed to maximize the space in here What I did differently, normally the legs are short On Murphy beds so the bed comes down really low And I dont like sleeping on the floor And we have a pretty high ceiling So I raised the bed up, and I built the storage down here We have space in here for guitars and folding chairs So we can pull the chairs out when we have guests When we dont use it we just keep these closed The off course are supposed to be attached But I haven’t gotten to that point yet When I open the bed I just flip up these legs It has a lock mechanism so when I flip the legs up It unlocks at the top Fold it down it's really very easy to pull it down I think I can do it with one finger Once the bed is down I just unclick these They are seatbelt straps I bought at hobby store I think you can buy them anywhere I just drilled them into the bottom of the bed So now I am ready to go to bed I built light into the bed It’s nice to have the option of just sipping a glass of water or putting a book aside and having a little reading lamp So I put lights in here I also put this upholstered headboard up And it makes it for a nice thing to sit up against.

Sofa Bed With Storage Behind it is storage. We dont have that much space So we need all the storage we can get In here we have trumpet and sewing machine equipment Up here is more storage I put magnets on the doors to prevent them from opening all the time And when the bed gets pushed down It kinda sucks the doors out we you need magnets on it In here we have a lot of storage We have three shelves We store all of our childhood memories in boxes in here We have all our beach towels that take up a lot of space We have luggage for two people And out of season clothes we dont use very often When we don’t need it which is most of the time We just keep it closed and if we do need it we can quickly get to it We to close it up again You just fasten these two strips And you can push the bed up again When I pull these legs down it locks into place And it cant come out even if I pull on it It will stay where it’s supposed to be That’s it.

Idaho Faux Leather Sofa Bed With Storage Drawer Update your bedroom by making your very own headboard. It's easier than you think. You'll need, an MDF frame, cut to the width of your bed. Spray adhesive, tape measure, pencil, scissors. Roller, staple gun and 1 / 2 inch staples, heavy linen fabric. Batting and foam. Cut foam to size with scissors and piece together. We used a thicker foam to give the headboard a more substantial look. Spray adhesive to the front of the MDF piece. Lay the foam on top and press it down with a roller to help it stick more evenly to the MDF. Add additional pieces of foam to cover the frame and adhere. Place the headboard face down on a piece of batting. Trim as needed  Be sure to leave enough to wrap around the foam and over the edge of the MDF. Staple the batting onto the MDF. Gently adjust and pull firmly each time you staple. The trick to smooth batting is to place a staple on one side. And then a staple on the opposite side, rather than working down one side at once. Continue stapling around all the edges. Save the corners for last. Notching out a square on the corners.  Staple one side. And roll over the raw edge of the other side, and staple into place.  Iron your fabric, so your headboard will be wrinkle free. And then lay it flat on the floor. Place the headboard on top of the fabric. Leaving enough on all sides to wrap around the back. Pull one side tightly and staple, then move to the other side and staple like you did with the batting. Trim excess fabrics as necessary. Repeat on all sides and fill in with more staples until the front side is smooth. For the corners, cut a notch like you did on the batting. Pull over one side and staple in place.  Fold over the raw edge of the other side and staple into place. By folding over the raw edge, you create a nice clean pleat. Secure your headboard to the wall behind your bed and enjoy your DIY work.

[New] 15 Purple Daybed Bedding Sets All Size

[New] 15 Purple Daybed Bedding Sets All Size - I'm Mindy from cute girl's hairstyles. And today, I have Daxton with me and Paisley. And they're so excited to show you guys their final finalized room tour! So let's go do it. Let's go show them. So whose side is this side of the room? My side! Daxton's side. Do you love it? Can we all tell he's so excited? So this bedding was the bedding that I found that set the tone for the entire room that we decorated. And the problem I ran into was because it's a shared room. It's a boy and a girl finding something that was still masculine enough for Dax and still feminie for Paisley. So this is what we came up with. I saw this bedding online and not only loved the stripes on this one, but also fell in love with the entire concept of this bedding. So show them how it works Dax. There's a zipper. And he unzips. And voila! He can climb in. And I will show you how it works, because it's so awesome. So the whole bed is hooked together. Imagine a bed in a bag, but all sewn together. So there's a fitted sheet. It feels like a fitted sheet. But it's the entire bedding. So you pull the whole thing over. And that's hooked to the actual bed sheet, right here, which is hooked to this awesome minky blanket, which is my kid's favorite, because they love the soft, silky, cuddle-feel to it when they're in bed. And then on top of that, you have the comforter all sewn onto it, so the kids can do this. Show them how you made your bed in the morning. Zip, and he's done. So it's crazy easy, quick, and simple. And then I don't have to make the beds, because even Paisley can zip hers shut. And I love it, because Paisley doesn't kick her covers off at night.

So it's fantastic. Purple Bedding Sets Queen Size So I got this bed at wayfair.com and put this nice metal bed together with all of his fun bedding. So we have this fun truck pillow that Jenny from ShowMeCute actually came down and painted for Dax, which I just love. And this one came with the bedding, as well, and so did this one. And then we got this one at just another bedding store here locally. I found these sconces, which I thought would just help pop this wall over here, and I got these from Restoration Hardware. And show them how they work Dax. He loves these, because he reads at night, and he can just pop them on and read until he gets tired, and then just shut it off. Dan da da. And we've got some little fun gas tanks and a "d" for who? Dax! Daxton and his little table here for whatever he wants to have at night, which has some little books on it right now. We have these crazy, tall ceilings in this house. They're 10 feet tall. So to help bring the walls a little bit down, I added board and batten on the walls right here and just had someone come in and make this for me. And then I knew three big chunky piece to help decorate it, and I found these so cute  a Historic Route 66 sign and a Standard Oil Company sign. And they're both metal. And then this cute little metal stop sign right here. And all of those were from Hobby Lobby. So super easy to find, and literally, just put up on the wall, which takes no effort, so it's fantastic. So on this side of the room, we have another little gas tank. And I knew Dax needed a little space to keep his toys, or maybe some socks and underwear, something like that.

So we got this fun little locker cabinet. These drawers just open up. Purple Bedding Queen Size You can see Paisley has Prince Eric hanging out in there right now. So we just found these fun little lockers that are all numbered. And this was actually Hobby Lobby. And this looks just like some stuff on Restoration Hardware right now, but way, way cheaper. So great alternative. So to just help pull in some extra colors, and because I'm seeing fun pendants hanging everywhere in bedrooms right now, I went ahead and got these triangle they were just white cardboard pendants at Hobby Lobby, and then took scrapbook paper with letters on it. And we spelled out Daxton's name. So you can see, it's D-A-X-T-O-N. And we hung those off the foot of his bed. And underneath the bed, this was probably the thing that meshed the room the very best, because Paisley's bed is actually red. And this rug right here is made out of denim and little strips of wool. And it pulled out both the blues and the reds, and then also pops the paint color with these little bit lighter squares. And I got this on rugsusa.com. So that was a fantastic find, and probably one of the hardest pieces was just finding the right rug to mesh the two beddings together. And this is perfect. So now, we enter Paisley's half of the room. This room was shaped like strange, with this little offshoot, off to one side. And we decided that it would be the perfect little princess area back here. Do you love your sheepskin rug? It's soft, huh? So what I did was when I had the person who build the board and batten for me.

I actually found Daybed Bedding Purple And Green a picture of Pinterest and had him replicate this fun bed. So it's all built in. And under here, it's just a giant drawer where we can either do a trundle bed, or toys, depending on what we want to use it for. So we added these adorable sparkley knobs. So I knew once I had the bed finished, that this bedding would also be perfect for this space. And I went online and found this amazing it's called "Retro Ruby" damask print on beddys.com, as well. And again, it zips. So Paisley can just unzip it, and climb in, and then zip it back up in the morning when she's done. And it's all built in. And I love it, because I don't have to tuck the other side of the bedding. This space, because it's built in, and bunk beds would be the same way. They're difficult to reach all the way over and get on the other side, which is awesome. And the pillows I mostly made. I make this one with just some lace, and some fabric, and pom-poms. This one actually came just like this fabric. It just had the stripes already sewn onto it. Jenny and I sewed the pillows together. And then she did this cute, little glitter heart for Paisley. So it was a really fun way to decorate the pillows. This red one came with the bedding. So that was an easy find. It also came with a red and white polka dot. So the bedding came completed in a package with a sham, a pillow, a sheet, a fitted sheet, a blanket, and a comforter all in one.

So that was a great, Purple Daybed Set easy way to shop for bedding. When the twins saw this bedding, they actually loved it so much that we recently ordered them a set too. And I'm hoping that since it's so simple to make, my teenagers will even make their beds. This love sign was crazy easy to make. It's just foam board that we cut into the word, "love," and a little heart, and then just use scraobook paper with mod podge to cover it so that it matched Daxton's side of the room, so it holds some of the denims back into her space. And then we did the same thing with her little fabric swag and her little "sweat pea" sign. We covered it in denim, scrapbook paper, and used all of the same colors in the fabric here. We used silver and sparkles, so it's still those really girlie, and red, and blue, and white. But it just has a very feminine touch, which I just love. I love, love, love her swag. And I also wanted to pull some color to this side of the wall. So I painted these just basic wooden frames that I got at Hobby Lobby red, and that added a little pop on the walls. This crown, I found at Hobby Lobby, but it was black and this really shiny material. And so we just got some silver glitter spray paint and spraypainted it so that it would match all of her silver. And the "p" was just a little wooden "p" we found at Hobby Lobby. And the flowers, same thing. And we just hot-glued all of the flowers onto the shape of the "p," which added a really, really fun feminine touch. And she loves that thing. She keeps running around the house, it's my "p." It's my flower "p." So this little lighted heart that is so fun, I found at Restoration Hardware. So that was literally a purchase and hang on the wall, which is great.

2015 Small Sofa Beds for Small Spaces, MUST HAVE!

2015 Small Sofa Beds for Small Spaces, MUST HAVE! - You know who totally got snubbed at the Oscars this year? Microjig. Maker of the GRR-RIPPER. Work safer. Work Smarter. This video is also sponsored by Harry's. I'm using a combination of inexpensive pine boards and plywood for this project First I'll cut down the pine boards to their widths. To cut the decorative tapers on the bottom of each leg, I'm using my microdial, no wait, MicroDial Tapering Jig. As always, it's a good idea to cut all the pieces that are the same size at the same time so you don't have to adjust your setup. I can glue and tack the side pieces together. Two of them only get a rail on one side. Now I can attach the legs to those pieces, keeping in mind that the taper goes outside. Whenever I use pocket screws, I like to use glue on the joint also. To make sure this lower piece is positioned in the same spot on each side, I've cut out a scrap that I'll use as a spacer. And once again, my poor spacial awareness kicked in and I've got the pocket holes on the wrong side of this piece, but it's already glued up so I'm just going to fill those in. And once these are sanded down, I'll paint right over them. I'll prepare the two back pieces the same way. I'm going to glue and screw these into just one side. I'm notching out the corners in the lower shelf. Before I assemble anything I'm going to glue on these drawer runners which are just square pieces of solid wood. I'm sanding the tops of these runners down now with 220 grit sandpaper because once this is assembled, it's going to be really hard to get my hand in there to sand it. This part's going to be a little tricky, I need to set this shelf in place before I put this together. And again, I'm using glue and pocket screws. Now I can glue this shelf into place. I can't get my nailer to fit inside of this gap so I'm just going to clamp this into place. The drawers are just simple boxes made out of plywood. I'm using a rabbeting bit on my router to make a ledge for the drawer bottoms to drop into. I cut these two thin pieces of hardboard to use as the bottoms of the drawers. The rabbeting bit leaves these rounded corners so I need to cut these corners to match. Then glue and tack them into place.

I don't want the drawer going all the way back. I want it to stop right about here so I've cut out some little stop blocks that I'll glue and tack into the back. This piece of plywood is going to be the top. I'm covering up the edges with iron-on edge banding. Well the paint's all dry and I've moved it inside. Sofa Bed For Small Space  It was just too blindingly white out in the sunlight and I couldn't see anything. I want the drawers to slide in and out really smoothly. The key to doing that on wooden runners is to polish them using a paste wax. I'm going to use this wax sent to me by my friend Linn. She makes her own using linseed oil and beeswax. I'll include a link down in the description if you'd like to check it out yourself. It even smells good. Let me show you how it works. Using a rag, I'll just wipe this onto those rails. You can even put it on the paint. And I'll put it on the bottom of the drawers too. Once it's dried for about 5 or 10 minutes, you can start buffing it with a clean rag. Having drawers slide that easily is very satisfying. I'd really like to take a moment to thank you for choosing to spend a few moments of your day with me in my workshop here at Woodworking for Mere Mortals. If you like this video and you're not already subscribed, I'd like to encourage you to.

I believe that, even in a small space, Ikea Small Sofa Bed you can have a certain level of decadence. I'm Suzi West, designer, stylist, curator. I own a shop in Brooklyn called Collier West. And this is my 200-square foot flat in Brooklyn, New York. I was working with a broker in time constraints. Supposedly, there was somebody due to move out in September in the garden space. I came in, took a look at it. There's a backyard area that's about three times the size of the flat itself, and that seemed like a great opportunity. What I love about this space is its warmth. Also, there's a particular mood that it brings. And it brings a sense of calm. Well, the other thing about small a space is you have a small dog. My dog's name is Tchotchke. He's a toy schnoodle. So having a petite in the house is appropriate. When you're in a one-room flat, there were some choices. You could approach it in there would be a bed in the middle of the room, and it would purely be used for sleeping. I opted to mask that idea, because I like to entertain. I can have people over. It's limited. There's basically a coffee table and what appears to be a sofa. I have a piece from the late 1800s that's called an Amberg Patent File. It's an old, handcrafted chest of drawers many drawers, maybe 112. And that's where I hide a lot of things. I like books, so that's an easy thing to put on exposed shelving. I have a kitchen set up with curated dishes. Hanging on the wall of my kitchen is tissue boxes. They were already designed to hang, so it made for sort of instant shelving. I have a sensibility towards strong graphic materials. I love signage, particularly funny signage with great words on it. Because I didn't have the ceiling height to bring in a chandelier, I opted for really opulent sconces.

Small Sofa Beds Ikea I have a really strong sense of capacity and what you do with your clothing. On ULINE, they have these amazing bins. And so I designed a system where I'd just hang the absolute extremes outerwear and dresses and everything else goes in some sort of bin or a shelve department. I want to continue to downsize. You can break a lot of what used to be standard rules of design by using a little compression and a little creativity. Living small has been really instrumental in what I do and being productive. For a lot of people, it's really tight, but it's given me a lot of freedom and a lot of liberty, and I recommend it, in general, for people that really want to free up even your mind-- the time you spend searching for keys or your passport. An average clean in a small space might be a couple hours, versus an entire Saturday. And so there's a lot of merit in doing it. It requires some discipline. But if it's for you, it's a really ideal way to live.

Microfiber Convertible Sectional Sofa Bed In my fourth week. This is probably the sixth or seventh bed I’ve slept in, and this is blog entry six as far as I can remember, so I am in Southwestern Germany staying with some friends at the moment, and I am currently sleeping on this bed that I am sitting on in their office. This is a hideaway bed that comes out of a sofa. If we just turn this to the side here, you can see the sofa here, um, and how the base comes out here, so what’s there to know really about this bed, um, it’s very compact. It’s not very wide. It’s a sort of superior single-size width, probably about 120 cm wide, and about 190 cm long which is perfect for me because I am only 172 cm tall. It’s easy enough to set up, and comfortable enough for a night or two. I have been here for about three nights, and it’s getting a little bit where I would appreciate my own bed. Anyway, let’s talk about the setup here. There is no, well, if springs are anything to really look at underneath. We’ve just got a basic slat. As I said, it is designed just to pull out for friends to crash for a night or two, and the mattress itself is very, very thin. It’s a typical foam construction mattress and provides the basics for a night out if you need to crash somewhere, but it’s not very comfortable over a long period. Anyway, I am moving on from here on Friday and heading for Berlin, and when I get there I will give you an update of what I am sleeping on. Keep safe, sleep well. Ciao!

17 Best Sofa Bed Mattress Toppers and Pads in 2015

17 Best Sofa Bed Mattress Toppers and Pads in 2015 - Build a French Mattress Style Cushion. This is one of the easiest types of cushions to sew, it does not have a zipper or Velcro opening, but is simply sewn shut. The mattress style seams give it a great look without the work of installing a piping. Let’s get started as we show you every step in how to make your own using supplies from Sailrite. To get started we first need to do some patterning on our decorative fabric. Cushions have a top and bottom plate and boxing on the sides. Two guidelines for patterning will be shown in this video. The first is for a cushion filled with Fiberfill. A little later on we will give guidelines for patterning for a cushion filled with a sheet of foam. First let’s discuss the requirements for a French Mattress Style Cushion filled with fiber. Determine the size of the cushion you want and the thickness. The cut top and bottom plate needs to be 1 ¾” larger than the desired finished size of your cushion. See our example in yellow here. Angela is marking the fabric to size here with a soapstone pencil and a straight edge ruler. We are using a Sunbrella Upholstery or Furniture Fabric which is the world’s best outdoor fabric. Why? That will be discussed a little later on in the video. When marking the along the width of this fabric the location of the stripes must be taken into consideration for the second plate panel. Here is where the first plate started and that’s also the location where we want the second plate to start. Here along the same line, so the repeat is the same between top plate and bottom plate.

Best Type Of Sofa Bed Mattress If you have done it correctly the end point of this second plate should fall on the same strip as the end point of the first plate we made. Next we need to mark for the boxing in both width and length. To calculate the width of the boxing we need to add 1 ¾ inch to the desired finished width of boxing that you want. This extra amount will account for the mattress style seams. For our cushion we want it to finish at about 5 1/2 inches in thickness. So we will add 1 ¾ inch to that figure making our cut width 7 ¼ inches. We also want the stripes to line up so we will position the boxing right above the two plates we just traced out on the fabric. The length of the boxing should match the plate’s length on each side. Our cushion is a square so all 4 sides are the same length. Obviously the boxing on the side of the cushion will not line up with the top and bottom plate stripes. We are cutting our Sunbrella fabric out with the Sailrite Edge Hot Knife. This seals the edge of the synthetic fabric preventing the unraveling of the fabric. We are cutting on top of a metal ruler to prevent damage to the table top below the hot knife. Our two plates and 4 boxing strips are now cut to size and ready for sewing. We have now covered patterning for a cushion filled with fiberfill let’s move on and touch on how to pattern for a French Mattress style cushion filled with a sheet of foam. To cut plates for this simply add ¾ inch on all sides. To cut the boxing to width use the foam thickness and add 1 inch then add between ¼” to ¾” for seam allowance. This will result in a cover that compresses the foam slightly making it look great! The length of the boxing should equal the sides of the plates. If you’re making a cushion using a sheet of foam skip this chapter.

Best Sofa Bed Mattress Since this cushion will be filled with a Polyester Fiberfill we want to make a pillow insert which will house the fiberfill. To make this we will use Spun Bonded Pillow Protector fabric. This fabric is inexpensive, breathable, water repellent and soft. Fold the Spun Bonded fabric in half then fold it over one more time to a width slightly larger than the width of the boxing. Then trace around a plate and a boxing strip. As you can see we will get two plates and 4 boxing strips all at once when we cut it out. These plates and boxing strips for the pillow insert to do not need to be extremely accurate in size, since they just used to house the fiberfill. No reason to use a hot knife on this Spun Bonded fabric as it does not unravel. We now have all the plates and boxing strips cut for our cushion in both the decorative fabric and the Spun Bonded Pillow Protector Fabric. It is always a good idea to lay the fabric panels out in an organized fashion before sewing. This reduces the chance of mistakes experientially. No matter if you are making a cushion filled with fiberfill, as we are, or a sheet of foam the construction is the same for both. Strat with the boxing and lay the corresponding boxing strip onto of the opposite leg so outside surfaces are facing each other. Then sew the two strips together along the short end with a straight stitch about 3/8 inch inside the raw edges of the fabric. Be sure to do some reverse stitching at the beginning and end of your stitch to lock the stitch in place. Take the assembly over to the where the panels are laid out and grab the corresponding boxing strip and repeat the process. Always go back to the panels as they lay on the table and check to be sure strips are running the correct direction and also that they will line up to the plates, along the two sides that is, as it is impossible for
them to line up along the other two sides.

Best Mattress For Brimnes Daybed
Once all 4 boxing strips are sewn together, it is time to join them together to form a complete chain. Be sure the outside surfaces are facing each other and sew along the end that completes the chain. We will not show sewing that. Now take the boxing assembly over and line it up with one of the plates so the strips are all even. Flip the boxing over so outside surfaces are facing each other and the edges are even. We will start sewing near the center position on this side. We will use a straight stitch set at about 6mm in length and sew about 3/8” from the edge of the fabric. Be sure to line up the strips and the edge carefully as you sew. Notice that when Angela gets to a corner she will bury her needle to the thickest part of the shaft and the lift the presser foot rotate the fabric on the corner and then lower the foot and continue to sew down the next leg. Because this side does not have stripes that match the plate we can’t use them line up the boxing to the plate. So, she will ensure that the opposite corner will line up with the plate’s corner. This is not extremely critical for small cushions, but for larger cushions this is a very important step in keeping the boxing and plate’s edge length the same while sewing. Continue sewing around all sides until you reach your starting stitch and do some reversing there. We will not be showing that. Now that the boxing is joined to one plate we simply need to sew that assembly to the last plate. To do this line up the plate so the strips will match on the two sides they matched for the other plate. Be sure outside surfaces are facing each other.

Best Sofa Bed Mattress Replacement
It is easier to sew this assembly with the boxing on top and the plate on the bottom. We will not actually start sewing near the center of this boxing, but instead will move about 2 to 3 inches away from the corner. Why? Because we want to leave one side open for the later insertion of the cushion insert or foam. Now just sew around securing the boxing to the last plate, just as you did earlier. As we discussed, here on this side the stirpes cannot be matched up so check to be sure the corner will match up before sewing this side, on larger cushions this is very important, on small ones like this it is not. We have skipped ahead here and are coming to the last side again. We want to just go around this corner and then stop sewing about 3 inches from the corner or away from the corner. This leaves an opening for the insertion of the foam or insert in a later step. It is important to do some revering here to lock the stitch in place and also keeps the stitch from coming apart when the insert or foam is pushed inside the cover. Turn the cover right side out. Next we will sew the “mattress” style stitch along all sides and even at the corners of the cushion cover. To do this fold the fabric out flat along each seam and try to position the seam at the extreme center edge of the folded assembly, as shown in the video. Then position the assembly so the stitch starts about a half inch away from the side’s corner and about 3/8 inch away from the folded edge. To keep the first seam centered correctly, sew a few inches then bury the needle make adjustments to the assembly and repeat. When you reach the next corner, stop about a half inch away and do some reversing. To move onto the next edge we will not even cut the trailing threads. We will simply remove the needle from the fabric, lift the foot, reposition the assembly just as we did earlier and sew onto the next corner. As you watch to see how Angela does this lets discuss the merits of using a Sunbrella Upholstery or Furniture Fabric for outdoor or indoor cushions. Sunbrella is the world’s best upholstery fabric because it is 100% solution dyed Acrylic, the colors stay bright and vibrant even if the fabric is left outdoors in the sun continually. It is also very water and stain resistant. Contemporary Elegant Wooden King Size Bed Frame with Drawers

Contemporary Elegant Wooden King Size Bed Frame with Drawers - So far we have done the side rails. We've also cut, shaped and assembled the legs for the footboard. Head boards can be as simple or as complicated as you want to make them. I'm going to take a two by six. Cut it in half on the miter saw. Actually the measurement is forty seven and fifteen sixteenths if you happen to have one that measures exactly ninety six inches. Sometimes they can come in a little shorter or longer so just make sure. Now I'll make a series of marks up the sides of those boards. The first mark will determine how high your mattress will ultimately be. Personal preference their. Obviously if you have a pillow top, and you're a shorter person, that's going to be a different measurement for you. And then I'll draw an arc and that will be the shape I want the head board to take on. And then I think I'll reduce some of the profile of the legs and angle the top back. Obviously there is no magic bullet here, it's just what feels right to you, so be creative. I will cut a half lap joint on the table saw the same way you saw me do it in part 1 of this project. Now that that is done, I'll clamp the piece to the work station and work the jigsaw. That ctually looks pretty good so I will skip the drill press drum and smooth it with some light hand sanding. Some 120 grit wrapped around a sanding sponge works pretty well. Alright now I'll mark out for a dado This is how I will be joining the legs to the center piece. Speaking of said center piece, here it is, lets trim it to length. Yes I always keep a roll of blue tape in the shop.

Black Wooden King Size Bed Frame For woodworking and my paper Mache smurf hobby. You know what, just ignore that last statement. One final piece to the head board. That's the lower stretcher we'll cut that on the miter saw now. Give everything a light sanding and round over the edges, NOW, we are technically ready to start assembly of the head board and foot board BUT, I ain't gonna. Because I've decided to use contrasting stains I'm actually going to stain each component before assembling them. I like to do one light coat of stain. That generally raises the grain. A light sand with 220 grit knocks it down and then I'll come back with a second coat til I get the color I want. Keep in mind we are not dealing with a shop project here. You want this to be something that you and your family will enjoy and be proud of for years to come. Take some time to do this part right. It took me just shy of a week to apply all the coats of stain, the sanding, the poly and I'll admit it will test your patience. But at the end, I think you'll be better for it. Alright, time for assembly, now this part goes quick, ready? Foot board first. Attach the legs to the stretcher That's all there is for the foot board so set that aside and start on the head board. Some glue in the dados.

One down. One to go. I think, King Size Oak Bed Frame With Drawers I'd have to use my fingers. Tight fit. That's what you want. Almost there. Lets flip this over. Lay down some kspacers and you may want to think about some cloth as well so you don't scratch the front of the center piece. Because I don't have clamps that would span the distance from one side to the other this is the one spot that I will use pocket holes to bring everything together nice and tight. These head boards can be heavy, especially the king size ones, so use the buddy system if you have to. And that's it all the pieces are assembled so it's time to put the hole thing together. To put everything together, I connected the side rails to the foot board first. They just slide down into their spot in the corners of the foot board. Sort of like, Sooo. Then you can connect them with screws from the inside, perhaps some pocket holes if you felt so inclined. The other side gets knocked in place with a mallet and same thing here, simple screws, pocket holes or threaded inserts. One last thing Don't forget your cross brace mattress supports. Those are a simple matter of taking your final cross measurements, cutting to length and adding a T leg in the center. Simply easy diy dot com. I will have a cutlist, measurements and dimensions. Hey thanks for watching. Subscribe if you haven't. Check me out on FaceBook and Pinterest. If you liked this video here's a couple more you'll like as well. Until then.

King Size Wooden Bed Frame With Drawers You’ll build two side cases for the platform bed, each consists of a base, a top, a series of dividers, and a backer. Add the veneer to the edges that will be visible. When you attach each divider, just drive one screw and check for square before driving the rest of the screws. Attach the rest of the dividers that way, then glue and screw the top piece to the dividers (1 side case.avi). When you attach the back, don’t glue it, just use screws so you can remove it when you apply the finish to the inside of the case. (2 Side Case Back.avi) The end case is assembled just like the sides. (3 End Case.avi) The headboard is a really basic assembly, attach the stiles and the rail to the headboard panel using glue and screws, and then veneer the visible edges. Now you can put all the pieces together. Add the rails to the side cases, then add the supports to the backside of the cases. Lay out all 3 cases, and attach the final rail to the end case at the foot of the bed. Now you can put the headboard in place, and attach it using the connector bolts and nuts. If your bedsize calls for support slats, put those in place, then add the platform. Add your mattress and linens for a fabulous contemporary bed that provides plenty of storage too.
